Firearm Ownership

In order to own a firearm in the State of San Andreas, one must submit to a background check that meets Federal standards, and pass. Federal and State background checks are regulated at licensed firearms dealers, and do not apply to private sale firearms.

While it is lawful to own and openly carry a weapon withou a license or permit, it requires proper weapon registration and is subject to inspection by local law enforcement during encounters, there are certain instances where it is unlawful to carry your weapon.

Unlawful carry situations are as follows;

  1. In any government building while not acting in the capacity of Law Enforcement, or contracted security.

  2. On any campus (campus being defined as any educational facility accredited by the State of San Andreas).

  3. Carrying a concealed deadly weapon without proper permits.
